A Wedding in Positano

28 Jun

One year ago today, my husband and I stood on a beautiful terrace in Italy, with the Mediterranean and Positano as our backdrop, and said our vows. Happy Anniversary love!

In honor of this important milestone, I have decided to post some of the beautiful pictures taken that day. I’m sure you’re wondering why I chose to forgo the traditional wedding for a destination affair in Positano. Well, I always knew I wanted to get married near the beach and Italy is one of my favorite places in the world to visit, so the seaside village of Positano seemed like the perfect place.

Sealed with a kiss!

If you haven’t been to Positano (or the Amalfi coast), I would absolutely recommend adding this beautiful place to your bucket list. The scenery in Positano is breathtaking. Weak in the knees breathtaking.

I was very lucky to have a husband and family that supported my dream of getting married abroad. It certainly was the most involved and complicated event I had ever planned (I was crazy and didn’t hire a wedding planner), but absolutely worth every stressful second!

To any brides out there that are planning a destination wedding in Positano (or Europe) and need some advice, I’m your girl!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing such a special day with me!

xoxo, Andi

All above photos were taken by Francese Photography. We were married at the Marincanto Hotel in Positano, Italy.

[…] I love to travel and have always made it a priority; whether it’s weekend trips to Lake Michigan or globetrotting in Europe. With a Birthday milestone looming this year, my husband and I have decided to do it up big, with trips planned to the west coast, New York (for the Alt conference!!) and Europe. The trip I’m particularly excited about is Italy. My husband and I have decided to go back to Positano where we were married. It will be great to visit the seaside village, minus the wedding stress! In case you missed it, here is a link to our wedding blog post. […]
