Summer June 2014 Reading List
Lately I’ve been on a reading frenzy. Since declaring my News Year’s resolution to read more, I’ve devoured more than a dozen books! In April, I recommended three books from my reading list and today I’m recommending five more great books. One thing I should mention – most of these books I read in the UK, so the covers will be different when you purchase them in the U.S.

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

This has to be one of my favorite books. I think I had a huge smile on my face the entire time I read it. It’s a lovely story about an academic with Asperger’s Syndrome who embarks on a heartwarming and hilarious quest to find his ideal mate. If there ever was book that deserved to be turned into a romantic comedy – this would be it.

The Humans by Matt Haig

I love stories about aliens and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s a comedy written from the perspective of an alien who has taken over the body of a human. On a quest to destroy critical research to slow human progress, the alien transitions from hating human culture to loving life on Earth.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

With the movie releasing this summer, I had to see what all the fuss was about. Although I enjoyed the book, it is quite similar to the Hunger Games trilogy. Maybe with a bit more romance. Make sure to read it out before the movie come out.

Sister by Rosamund Lupton

After learning her sister goes missing, Beatrice returns home to search for her. If you like crime novels, you will love this book. It’s a great thriller with a big twist at the end.

Before I Go To Sleep – by J.S. Watson

This book is a great psychological thriller. It’s about a woman suffering from anterograde amnesia. Each day she wakes up thinking it’s 20 years earlier without any recollection of her life since the accident that left her damaged. She embarks on journey to try and recover her memory.

Next up on my reading list are Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and The Circle by Dave Eggers.

What are your beach reads this summer?
